Look at me joining in on all these fun Tags and Link-Ups. So much fun! This one’s called “How To Really Know Someone“, which I discovered while lurking around Corinth’s blog (she’s awesome, I’ve been reading her entries since I cyber-stumbled upon her blog, which was two days ago – through Raisa’s “My Favourite Things” link-up. Joining these things has so many pros).

There are about 111 questions so I’m going to pull off a Corinth and answer 5 at a time, once or twice a month. It will allow me to reflect on the other questions, and give as much depth to my answers (naks).

Here we go!

01. How do you feel about Birthdays?
Love this. To be honest, I’m at a point in my life (is a phrase I say a lot these  days) where I don’t really care for traditions anymore. Birthdays, New Years, and actually, I’m going to finally say this – even Christmas. But don’t get me wrong : it’s not that I don’t care for God (DUH), it’s just these “Traditions” I don’t really care for. If I want to celebrate Christ’s birth I can do it on any day I feel like it. In general, its something you should celebrate on a daily basis – and you can do that by simply saying a prayer or establishing any form of  communication with Him. In that way you acknowledge not just His birth on Earth, but His existence in your life. During the recent Holidays, I found it painful to go on Facebook and even type in a Greeting. Which means I don’t really feel anything towards Birthdays anymore. I mean, sure – I wouldn’t mind celebrating it. But if you ask me, I’d rather not. I prefer either just going out to have a normal, spontaneous fancy dinner for two, or stay at home.

02. Do you believe in fate?
I always thought that the concept of Fate went against everything that was taught to us in Church or in the Bible. But because I am slowly turning into a Deist (still doing lots and lots and lots of reading on this), I think I do. It’s a lot to take in, really, and knowing how long I’ve existed on earth so far, I’m going to need time to be able to accept that there are certain beliefs I need to sort out – literally … out. I don’t what it is I believe in at this point when it comes to our lives – is a Higher Being in control, do the Stars really say what our Future Holds, are most things (if not everything) in our hands? I would opt for the easiest choice. But it’s frustrating. So far all I can say is that I know we all have a purpose to why we exist. Who says what our purpose is, though … is what I’m trying to get at.

03. What do you think when a Band/Artist “sells out”?
It makes me sad, most of the time. Is it safe to say that Ellie Goulding did that? I used to genuinely love her. I mean, she deserves all the success and fame she’s getting but I don’t know what that does to her music. I miss the old Ellie Goulding. The thing about selling out, as we all know – is that it makes Artists conform to Society’s standards. It makes people like me feel left out, because … I am a Society Reject. It may not look like it with how vain I could get, but my personality says otherwise. On most days I wish I could just enjoy what everyone else enjoys because life would be easier, but where’s the fun in that? Also, why would you want to trade who you really are? I may be fucked up on the inside, but at least it’s who I am. Lol. Okay, no but wait – before you misunderstand me : Not that there’s anything wrong with liking what everyone does, if that’s what you TRULY want to do. I don’t have an issue if Artists choose this path, as long as it doesn’t affect their craft / output. I mean, okay … maybe Ellie Goulding did not sell out (I just probably said that because of “Love Me Like You Do”, huhu). I just miss songs like this. I listened to this song the entire flight back to the Philippines in 2012.

04. What do you think of Fans and Fandoms?
I used to hate whatever had a large following, but when maturity finally came to me, it was like “The hell man, what’s your deal? People are allowed to like what they like and talk about it all they want”. Everyone’s a FAN of something. I like everyone. What I don’t like is when Fans hate on other Fans, or when Fans hate on what other Fans love. I’m still a Swiftie, but I am also a Jepsie. It really makes me sad when they are being compared because in my eyes, they’re not even competing against each other. I mean, sure – there will always be a “who made a better hit”, “who is more deserving of this award”, blabla. But they’re still Human Beings with Human Feelings and Human Needs. They still deserve respect, you know. If you don’t like Taylor, fine. If you don’t like Carly Rae, that’s fine too. But I mean, stop being too hard on them. No one’s forcing you to be their fan. I like KathNiel, and I also like JaDine. I don’t compare them to each other because DUH, that’s stupid. People are meant to be different. Just because this one’s like that and that one’s like this doesn’t make them better or worse than the other. WHY IS THAT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND.

05. Any specific Personality Traits you would like to see in your Life Partner?
Can I just smile this one off? Haha! I am already blessed, but answering this in a perspective where I am single, I just want someone who sees Romance and Passion the way I do : VITAL IN LIFE, like breathing.
