May Lipstick Haul : Review + Swatches
Let this be known as the Inglot edition! I’ve always liked Inglot because they’re reasonably priced, and the quality, mmm-mmm! I usually stock up on their Freedom Palettes, because choosing your own shades = EVERYTHING to a make-up junkie, even when I don’t know what I’m doing with my eyeshadows. I have no technique of any sort, I just do what I feel like. But it’s not a waste when you like how you look, so there.
Why am I talking about Eyeshadows. Typical Abbie, going out of topic.
In this post I will be swatching the Lip Pen in shade 23, Matte Lipsticks in 425, 410, 419, and Lip Liner in 857. GORJAS. I can’t stop gushing.
I blame my recent Inglot lippie obsession on Arci Muñoz. All I do is stare at her, and her pretty pucker, and then wonder where she gets her lippies. With a little stalking, I discovered some of the shades she used in the movie and got them for myself.
Ah, you should have seen the look on my face walking out of the store.
I am honestly itching to go back and get the Matte Lipstick in 421 and more Lip Pencils, the Lipliners and one shade from their Liquid Lipstick line that I can’t get out of my head. They are too gorgeous, and the longevity — you’d think Inglot is just doing us all a favor, wanting us to look prettier by literally giving them away because it should cost more than it does (Inglot people, if you’re reading this, please don’t listen to me. I obviously don’t know what I’m talking about. HAHA)!
I LOVE YOU, INGLOT!
(Disclaimer : Photos were shot in natural light, using my iPhone6, auto-color adjusted on Photoshop )
Lip Pen, #23
What I loved most about Inglot’s Lip Pen is that it’s not overly creamy as most Lip Pens are. It’s got the right amount of moisture, which then easily dries and turns matte once applied. Very light on the lips, and even if it’s Matte in texture, it was not drying on my lips at all.
Matte Lipstick, #425
I am obsessed with this color! And not to mention, Inglot’s Matte Lippies smell really good! The lipsticks are a bit drying, but nothing like a little pre-moisturising (which is mandatory upon applying lipstick anyway) couldn’t fix.
Matte Lipstick, #410
This shade is said to be one of Inglot’s best selling Matte Lipsticks. It should be obvious why that is. I’ve been fondly mixing this with my pale nude lippies. Too pretty.
Matte Lipstick, #419
If you know me, you know I don’t wear a lot of Pinks. I only go with either Pale shades, or super dark ones — never in between. I’ve tried a couple, but didn’t find anything that flattered me. There’s something about Fuchsias that look off on me. But I FINALLY FOUND ONE I LIKED!
Lip Liner, #857
When I swatched this on my hand, I was almost in tears because of how beautiful it looked. It was not in my plan to get something as dark as this but my gosh was I praying to the gods, both the old and new that this was not out of stock. The Lip Liner also comes with a brush at the end, I don’t intend to use it much because it’s mostly for Lip Contouring. I like ’em full and rich in color everywhere.
Inglot products are definitely worth investing on. I’m trying to suppress my obsession but I don’t think it could be helped.
